Irish Bouzouki These Irish Bouzoukis are made from all solid woods. We select only choice spruce with tight, uniform grain. The back and sides are made from hard maple and the neck is mahogany, shaped for maximum comfort. We use a traditional X-braced soundboard, but outfit the instrument with an adjustable truss rod for modern reliability. Other features include multi-ply body binding, a rosewood fretboard and bridge, a compensated saddle, and high-quality chrome plated tuning machines. Irish Bouzouki Deluxe These Irish Bouzoukis come with an extra deep body that gives them a bigger sound with lots of bark. They have a gracefully shaped, offset double cutaway design to allow easy access to the upper frets. These mandolins feature highly flamed maple back & sides with a chocolate brown finish. The bodies are bound in grained ivoroid with Abalone purfling. Other features include diecast tuning machines with a 16:1 gear ratio, a compensated rosewood bridge, and an ivoroid heal cap. The spruce top, combined with a larger soundhole and a shallower body, produces a lively bright sound, particularly useful for tunes and anywhere it needs to stand out amongst other instruments.
